Frequently we are asked about the parts included in refinishing. We will use a 1911 as an example as the diagrams are very detailed and most everyone has seen or used a 1911.
Below you will see a full breakdown of the 1911. Associating the numbers on each part we will show you what is and isn’t included with each refinishing job.
#42 is the slide
#1, #2, #9, and #38 are commonly requested items as well. These parts are additional and not included with slide refinishing. These parts are $7 per item, except #1 which is $20.
#10 is the frame
#14, #17, #23 #29, #43, #44, and #45 are commonly requested items as well. These parts are additional and not included with frame refinishing. These parts are $7 per item.
Slide & Frame
Slide & Frame refinishing are a combination of the above 2 statements. This refinishing service does not include the additional parts either, those are always add on’s. One size does not fit all when it comes to refinishing.
Tear-down, Cleaning & Assembly is NOT included in the price of each project. The charges for this vary by the weapon and how it’s delivered to us. If you delivered us a 1911 with only the pieces to be painted entirely torn down and ready to put into queue without any tear-down required there would be no armor’s fee’s.
An example of this if you were to bring us a slide you would only bring us parts #42 for the slide. The remaining parts for the slide you would retain. The same applies for the frame (#10).
